Henry Barnes is a distinguished cybersecurity professional with a rich 13-year career, offering a wealth of experience in military, government, and private sector settings. Henry’s unique and strong foundation was built during his nine years at the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA). In his current role as a Red Team Analyst and Technical Product Owner of the Global Bug Bounty Program for Stellantis, Henry applies his extensive experience to proactively test and simulate cyber threats to protect the intellectual property of one of the world’s leading automakers. His efforts contribute significantly to enhancing the overall cybersecurity posture of this global brand.
Experience and Education:
Henry's journey commenced as an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Army, stationed at Fort Meade, MD, where he played a pivotal role in the Army Network Warfare Battalion (ANWB). As a cornerstone in this small, specialized unit, later rebranded as the 744th Military Intelligence Battalion and integrated into the Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF), Henry was recognized as one of the first soldiers to achieve certification as a Digital Network Exploitation Analyst for the CNMF.
Transitioning from the Army to become a contractor for the NSA, Henry worked on dozens of missions, garnering multiple awards from different U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) agencies for his exceptional work in Threat Finance, Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBM), Advanced Persistent Threats, and many more highly sensitive areas and topics. His adaptability and problem-solving skills were further demonstrated in classified projects, solidifying his reputation as a trusted and accomplished cybersecurity professional within the Intelligence Community (IC).
During his NSA tenure, Henry's commitment to excellence was evident as he became the first and only Network Exploitation Analyst (NEA) Tech Lead on a contract overseeing more than 325 intelligence analysts. His strategic vision and technical proficiency were instrumental in the success of critical initiatives, earning him recognition from various agencies within the DoD.
Henry holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Networks and Security, providing a strong academic foundation that complements his extensive practical experience. Henry’s commitment to professional development is proven by his certifications, including Certified Ethical Hacker, Security+, and over 1,000 hours of advanced training at NSA.
